About us

Our team is made up of experts in the areas of R&D, logistics, production and marketing. In addition, we work closely with our trusted external partners.

For the first two years, ConVet’s home was in Düsseldorf’s Medienhafen. Ideas were developed and implemented in the building designed by the famous architect Frank Gehry with a view of the marina. This creative environment paired with Hanseatic merchant tradition formed the successful basis for ConVet’s first activities.

Since 2010, our ConVet location has been in the pharma-oriented environment on the Creative Campus in Monheim.

We already developed more than two dozen products that are currently sold in the countries of the EU, the USA, Canada, Asia and South America.

As a veterinarian and MBA, ConVet founder and CEO Dr. Olaf Hansen combines veterinary medicine with a business perspective. He started working in the Research and Development department of the Animal Health Division of Bayer AG in 1996. During this time, he established the “Advantage Monitoring System” and was instrumental in the research that lead to the development of Advantix^®. From 2006 to 2008, Dr. Hansen worked as a global project manager for various projects in the Business Development department in the Animal Health division of Bayer HealthCare AG, before setting up his own business, ConVet, in 2008.

Dr. Nora Börner received her PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Australian National University, followed by further academic research in Quebec, Canada. After working in the German automotive sector, she is now Head of Project Management at ConVet. With extensive experience in international biocide registrations, regulatory matters and product development, Nora works closely with ConVet’s partners to get new and innovative biocide products market-ready. In addition, she supervises production, logistics and technical customer service relating to completed projects.

Nikki Kramer completed an education in Chemistry (BSc.) and Science & Business Management (MSc.) at Utrecht University. She has extensive experience in R&D and Product Development of regulated products such as cosmetics, biocides, medical devices and drugs. Nikki worked as a Technical Key Account Manager in the field of Superabsorbent Materials and was responsible for the European customer base. At ConVet, she is Managing Director and Head of Product Development, responsible for the development, manufacturing and sales of innovative products that answer the customer’s needs.
